What is love?

Love is

Going when you want to stop

Hugging when you blow your top

Love is

Gentle like an ocean breeze

When you’re angry, saying please

Love is

Comforting when it’s not a big deal

Listening and being still

Love is

The result of time and hard work

Accepting the other’s quirks

Love is

Building protective walls

To protect from evil’s claws

Love is

A decision, a choice to make

That there will be more giving, than take

Love

Serves another without self in mind

And gives sight to the blind

Love

Holds so tight you cannot breathe

And never says the word, leave

Love is never cruel or rude, no matter the sorrow

Love believes in a beautiful tomorrow
