If only our brains told our emotions what to do,

Our brains say be still and our hearts don’t seem to have a clue.

If only our heads stopped being so smart,

Maybe the smart would leak to our dumb hearts.

If only our heads knowing just what decision,

Didn’t make our hearts feel they were in a collision!

If only they could replace the heart with a star,

Maybe the shine would replace all the bleeding and scars.

If only our brains could tell our hearts what to do,

But they can’t, so back off brain, and let’s all feel what we do.
