when parents aren’t

My heart breaks for the children who do not know the love of a mother and father.
This life is hard enough when we have loving parents.
We seem to even be okay if we have one responsible, caring parent.
To have neither is heartbreaking.
My dad was a foster child.
He was in an orphanage.
Lived with a mean uncle when he was older.
My heart broke for tiny Kay-Kay.
I miss her.
I pray for her.
My heart now breaks for my friend Billy.
Lord, protect the Billys and the Kay-Kays in this cruel world.
Even though they walk in valleys (without mommys and daddys)
Let them not be afraid
Let them know YOU are with them.
Let them know YOU.
Let them know YOU.

Amen
