Okay Terri, you asked for it, you got it. Dedicated to you:
May 1
Feel the cool breeze as it blows
Smell of honeysuckle
Hear chimes ring 10:00 a.m. and
Beep, beep of garbage truck as it backs up
Feel a tiny raindrop occasionally warning of the black clouds in the distance
See the tinted green air yelling rain is on the way
Peace speaks through the breeze that blows the storm in
Birds chirp a song of praise without a concern
Tiny raindrops fall
Psalm 18:30 “This God His way is perfect.”

P.S. I Love You:
Patricia: So now, all alone or not, you gotta walk ahead. Thing to remember is if we’re all alone, then we’re all together in that too.
Holly: I should get my shoes. They’re all over the place and they’re going to think I don’t love them.
Daniel: We’re so arrogant aren’t we? So afraid of age we do everything we can to prevent it. We don’t realize what a privilege it is to grow old with someone…someone who doesn’t drive you to commit murder or doesn’t humiliate you beyond repair. It’s sweet.
The Blind Side:
Beth: You’re changing that boys life.
Leigh Anne Touhy: No, he’s changing mine.
Holiday Spam:
Estelle – I think a turkey is too much trouble. Spam would be easier.
Everyone – Spam ????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dessie Mae – Land sakes Estelle, who ever heard of Spam for Christmas. What would people think of me?….Spam!!!!
Estelle – Well, it would be easy and wouldn’t have any Botulism, Salmonella, or Ptomaine.
Flo – Because Spam is a lump of Ptomaine.
Nadine – Well you wouldn’t have to dig its guts out. No drumsticks, no wings, no mess.
Hazel – Well, you could whittle the spam and make it look like a turkey.
Estelle – I have a turkey shaped cake pan, and you can smush the Spam into it and mold yourself a turkey.
Dessie Mae – How many cans of Spam do you reckon I would need?
Flo – Are you seriously considering a smushed Spam turkey?
Estelle – Why shouldn’t she? You would probably need 7 or 8 cans.
Dessie Mae – Would that feed 20?
Hazel – One can of that stuff will feed an army because it grows in your mouth while you’re chewing.
The Secret Life of Bees
Lily Owens: If your favorite color is blue, why did you paint the house pink?
August Boatwright: That was May’s doing. When we went to the paint shop, she latched on to a color called, “Caribbean Pink.” She said it made her feel like dancing a Spanish Flamenco. I personally thought it was the tackiest color I had ever seen, but I figured if it could lift May’s heart, it was good enough to live in.
Lily Owens: That was awfully nice of you.
August Boatwright: Well, I don’t know. Some things in life, like the color of a house, don’t really matter. But lifting someone’s heart? Now, that matters.
Connor Mead: Someone once told me that the power in all relationships lies with whoever cares less, and he was right. But power isn’t happiness, and I think that maybe happiness comes from caring more about people rather than less…
Julie & Julia:
Paul Child: What is it you REALLY like to do?
Julia Child: Eat!
Paul Child: You are the butter to my bread, you are the breath to my life.
Fireproof:
Caleb Holt: Marriage isn’t fireproof.
Michael Simmons: Fireproof doesn’t mean the fire will never come. It means when the fire comes that you will be able to withstand it.
Caleb Holt: You never leave your partner! Especially in a fire!
Eeyore:
They’re funny things, Accidents. You never have them till you’re having them.

“It’s snowing still,” said Eeyore gloomily.
“So it is.”
“And freezing.”
“Is it?”
“Yes,” said Eeyore. “However,” he said, brightening up a little, “we haven’t had an earthquake lately.”

Butterflies:
Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne
We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty. ~Maya Angelou
It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by. How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment? For the moment passes, it is forgotten; the mood is gone; life itself is gone. That is where the writer scores over his fellows: he catches the changes of his mind on the hop. ~Vita Sackville-West
Daughters who ask you to do A.M. Yoga for Weight Loss while you are eating Coffee Toffee Ice Cream at 9:15 p.m.
BTW, in yoga what do the terms “spread your scalp”, “open your kidneys”, and “soften your palette” mean. Really, can you truly move the roof of your mouth? If you can, then mine is terribly defective.
“I wrote this song about all of the sweet names my mom and dad called me when I was little
and all of the sweet names that I call my daughter Amy.
I entitled it “You’re My Honeybunch” and gave it to her as a Valentine’s day present.” – Judianna Castle
The “CUPPYCAKE” Song
(Lyrics and Music by Judianna Castle)
is actually the chorus from Amy’s version of “You’re My Honeybunch”
(lyrics and music by Judianna and Buddy Castle)
..
You’re my Honeybunch, Sugarplum
Pumpy-umpy-umpkin, You’re my Sweetie Pie
You’re my Cuppycake, Gumdrop
Snoogums-Boogums, You’re the Apple of my Eye
And I love you so and I want you to know
That I’ll always be right here
And I love to sing sweet songs to you
Because you are so dear

I was wondering today, what if for one week we only bought, ate, and said what we needed. Truly needed. For a day?

To Be Fit for God (Valley of Vision, page 139)
“Thou maker and sustainer of all things,
Day and night are thine,
Heaven and earth declare thy glory;
But I, a creature of thy power and bounty,
Have sinned against thee
By resisting the dictates of conscience,
The demands of thy law,
The calls of thy gospel;
Yet I live under the dispensation of a given hope.
Deliver me from worldly dispositions,
For I am born from above and bound for glory.
May I view and long after holiness as the beauty and dignity of the soul.
Let me never slumber, never lose my assurance,
Never fail to wear armour when passing through enemy land.
Stay my mind upon thee and turn my trials to blessings,
That they may draw out my gratitude and praise as I see their design and effects.
Render my obedience to thy will holy, natural, and delightful.
Rectify all my principles by clear, consistent, and influential views of divine truth.
Let me never undervalue or neglect any part of thy revealed will.
May I duly regard the doctrine and practice of the gospel,
Prizing its commands as well as its promises.
Sanctify me in every relation, office, transaction and condition of life,
That if I prosper I may not be unduly exalted,
If I suffer I may not be over-sorrowful.
Balance my mind in all varying circumstances
And help me to cultivate a disposition
That renders every duty a spiritual privilege,
Thus may I be content, be a glory to thee and an example to others.

2 turning your ear to wisdom

and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.
