Life is a Mist
Our lives are busy.
Our lives are uncertain.
Our lives are brief.
Our lives should, therefore be humbly submissive.
No matter how advanced the world seems to become, our lives truly are not in our control but in the hands of a MIGHTY & LIVING GOD.
Watch yourself, not just others.
Watch your doctrine.
Our hearts are deceitful.
Lead your heart.
Realize that knowledge of Scripture is not sufficient (James 1:22). You must study your heart.
The truth must be proclaimed then applied.
The truth must be heard then obeyed.
The truth must be preached then practiced.
Spiritual growth is not attained apart from application.
Our character must be more persuasive than our speech. Wow.
Recognize areas of immaturity and take action to change.
To have a Godward life, I must be shaped correctly.
Three acts to take to be Godwardly shaped:
Read the Bible
Live the Bible
To be Godward I must stubbornly refuse to do the easy work that people ask of me.
My aim is to glorify God. (1 Cor. 10:31)
Nothing can glorify my heart but God. (Psalm 16:2)
Only God satisfies.
Nearness to God is the only satisfying experience.
